Prof Rebecca Anglin

Professor Rebecca Anglin is a highly accomplished clinician, academic, teacher and leader. She is originally from Canada where she was a clinician investigator at McMaster University with a research interest in gut-brain interactions before relocating permanently to Perth in 2016.

She has published over 40 peer reviewed articles in high impact journals and remains an active academic. She has held a number of senior leadership positions in hospitals and Universities nationally and internationally including the Associate Dean Preclinical of the MD Program at the University of Notre Dame, where she remains an Adjunct Professor.

Prof Anglin currently works as a Consultation-Liaison psychiatry consultant with particular expertise managing the psychiatric comorbidity of medical disorders and perinatal psychiatry.

Prof Anglin is committed to providing excellent medico-legal reports and brings her extensive and world-renowned academic and clinical expertise to the work she does. She is passionate about the client experience and the excellent quality of service provided by Clear Health Legal Medicine.

Dr Singh is a highly skilled psychiatrist with sub-specialty interests in the fields of psychiatry of older-adults, consultation-liaison psychiatry, and eating disorders. With over two decades of experience, she has established herself as a highly regarded clinician in these areas. She is skilled in providing capacity assessments in a range of areas, including lifestyle decisions and testamentary capacity.

Her experience in consultation-liaison psychiatry has involved providing psychiatric assessments and treatment recommendations for patients with complex medical conditions.

For the past two years, Dr Singh has provided medico-legal opinions in a variety of cases, including historical sexual abuse, worker’s compensation claims (Workcover approved) and personal injury claims

She is an Oxford University scholarship recipient, currently pursuing a Masters in Global healthcare Leadership and Chairs the Women in Psychiatry forum in WA.

As the founder and Clinical Director of our sister company Clear Health Psychology, Dr Maxine Hawkins is the guiding force behind our commitment to excellence in medico-legal assessments and reports. Dr Hawkins brings a wealth of expertise and an unwavering passion for transformative mental health to our practice, honed over two decades of clinical experience and know-how.

Throughout her impressive career, Dr Hawkins has served as an educator, a dynamic leader, and an innovator in the field of mental health. Her comprehensive knowledge and multifaceted experience have been instrumental in shaping the approach we take at Clear Health Legal Medicine.

Recognising the need for expert and reliable medico-legal services, Dr Hawkins partnered with the other Directors to introduce Clear Health Legal Medicine to support end clients getting to a resolution. Under her visionary leadership, we continue to uphold our commitment to excellence and ensure that our clients receive assessments and reports of the highest quality.

Dr Davinder Has

A/Prof Davinder Hans is a WA trained doctor and psychiatrist who works across the public, private and academic sectors in Western Australia.

He has a broad training in a range of disciplines including psychopharmacology, the psychotherapies, neurosciences, forensics mental health and youth mental health.

A/Prof Hans has leadership positions in the private sector, being the clinical lead of the Trauma Program at Hollywood Private Hospital, and the clinical lead of the Youth Mental Health Program at Hollywood Private Hospital. He has a Director position within the Public Sector in the Health Department of Western Australia and is also a Unit Coordinator in Psychiatry in a University Setting and is employed as an Associate Professor.

A/Prof Hans maintains active involvement in Education and Training within the Royal Australian and New Zealand College of Psychiatrists. He is a supervisor of trainees and is also the Chair of the Continuous Professional Development Committee (WA) of the RANZCP.

A/Prof Hans is a Certified Independent Medical Examiner by the American Board of Independent Medical Examiners and is also a WA WorkCover Approved Medical Specialist and has completed the Impairment and Assessment Training in New South Wales and is registered with SIRA.

A/Prof Hans is experienced in the field of medicolegal psychiatry and regularly does plaintiff and defendant work. He is experienced in workplace injury, civil liability, Historical Childhood Sexual Abuse cases, amongst other domains of medicolegal work.

Dr Chris Cocks is a highly sought after psychiatrist and medico-legal expert and takes a holistic approach to the management of mental illness. He is a general adult psychiatrist with dual qualifications in forensic psychiatry. He has particular expertise in civil and criminal medic-legal forensic psychiatry, assessment of mentally ill offenders, mood and anxiety disorders, trauma related disorders, psychotic disorder and drug and alcohol related psychiatric conditions.

Dr Cocks is a published researcher and accredited supervisor for psychiatry trainees. He is also a NSW SIRA accredited assessor of permanent impairment.

Dr Catherine Hercus is a general adult psychiatrist with advanced subspecialty training in consultation-liaison psychiatry and the interface between medical and psychiatric disorders. She has particular interest in psycho-oncology, patients with comorbid psychiatric and medical disorders and old age psychiatry.

Dr Hercus completed medical school at the University of Tasmania and her FRANZCP basic training in Perth, followed by consultation-liaison advanced training in Melbourne, Victoria. She currently works in Melbourne in consultation-liaison psychiatry at a major hospital, as well as in private practice.

Dr Stefan Schutte is a recognised leader in psychiatry and health administration in WA. He has particular clinical interest in the interface between medical and psychiatric disorders, suicide prevention, old age psychiatry, and perinatal psychiatry. He has held a number of senior leadership positions in health organisations and is currently the Head of Department of Psychiatry at a large hospital in Perth.

Dr Schutte completed his MBChB at the University of Pretoria in South Africa and his FRANZCP in Wellington New Zealand before relocated to Perth, WA. He has additional training and subspecialty qualifications in psychotherapy, electroconvulsive therapy, health professional education, health administration, consultation-liaison psychiatry and old age psychiatry.

Dr Andrew Roney is a highly experienced consultant psychiatrist with a particular interest in acquired brain injury and the interface between medical and psychiatric disorders.

He trained in the UK before moving to Perth, WA and is a fellow of the Royal Australian and New Zealand College of Psychiatry (FRANZCP). He has subspecialty qualifications in old age and consultation-liaison psychiatry. He currently works as a psychiatry consultant at a large tertiary hospital in Perth including working in the state rehabilitation service.

Proficient in standardised ASD diagnostic instruments such as ADOS and 3Di, Dr Ahmed combines his clinical expertise with a keen interest in pharmacogenomic and nutritional psychiatry, exploring avenues for precision medicine in psychiatry.

Grounded in a collaborative, warm, and understanding approach, he operates within an evidence-based framework, seamlessly integrating psychiatry and psychotherapy to provide comprehensive care.

Currently a candidate trainee with QPPA (Queensland Psychoanalytic Psychotherapy Association), Ahmed brings a wealth of experience in various psychotherapeutic modalities, including CBT, DBT, MBT, ACT, and Family Therapy.

Dr Andrew Robinson is a registered psychiatrist with the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA), holding both general and specialist registrations. He has completed the Certificate of Advanced Training in Forensic Psychiatry and is an accredited member of the RANZCP Forensic Faculty. Additionally, he is an approved RANZCP Trainee Supervisor.

Dr Andrew Robinson specialises in preparing civil and criminal medico-legal psychiatric reports for courts, tribunals, review boards, and various departments, including Justice and Communities. His expertise includes risk assessment, psychiatric diagnosis, impairment, treatment, and management. He is trained in assessment tools for psychiatric impairment, violence, sexual violence, psychopathy, and stalking. He is also an approved medical specialist for SIRA NSW and WorkCover WA.
